ADDITIONAL TERMS FROM 01/07/2021 (Please Read These)
Changes to Ecommerce Selling, which came into force on the 1st July 2021, has meant an update to our policies in line with this new legislation.
- The shop site is now displayed exclusive of VAT for all customers.
- The UK will continue to have VAT added at 20% in line with UK legislation, but this will now be done at checkout and not shown in listing price This is only a change in process and you will still pay the same price as you did prior to this update.
- EU buyers will have their countries VAT collected By Dapa Designs at checkout. Which we will then pay to your government on orders under €150 (£125) removing import duty charges and speeding up delivery. Orders over this amount will have VAT and DUTY charged on entry to your country Please consider splitting orders over the threshold to two orders or invoices to avoid these extra charges.
- International buyers will remain responsible for VAT/GST/Sales taxes at their countries rate upon entry if applicable. Dapa Designs will not collect the VAT for you at this time.
- Dapa Designs Ltd is not responsible for any duties which your import (purchase) may incur, for it to clear your customs. This is the customers responsibility and we have advised how to avoid this duty above.
- The low level relief of €22 /£15 has now been abolished by the new EU legislation, creating a level playing field for ALL online retailers.
- European and International customers are requested to supply an email address and a contact number when filling out your address details. This will assist customs in making you aware your item has reached your country and is awaiting your VAT/GST/Sales Tax payment. This will help to speed up customs and the delivery of your order.
- As our system is based in the UK, the address section automatically defaults to GB. You MUST ensure you change the GB default to the country of delivery, moving forward this will be IMPERATIVE to you being charged the correct tax rate for your country. We cannot do this for you after payment as we have NO access to your personal details entry.
- If you enter a country code that is not where the item is to be delivered, your order will be CANCELLED and you will need to re-submit. It is best to ensure your details are correctly before submitting your order. We would encourage you to set up an account, so your details are stored for each use.
- We continue to advise all customers to choose a tracked or signed delivery service. This allows us to assist you should a delivery be late in arrival. Without this we have no means to track your parcel. Postage choice is the customers responsibility and we cannot be held responsible for late delivery/non arrival of goods ordered without a tracked or signed for service.
