The Better the Care - The Longer the Wear!!!
Our Fabrics
We work with mainly synthetic fabrics to create our unique range of products, part of the uniqueness is due to the fabrics being used. A lot of what we use is mainly used for other uses, such as tactical, military, theatre etc. Synthetic fabrics are overall quite strong, but like any fabric, does require care. The good care of your fabric will extend the life of your garment and indeed the components used to manufacture the garment. Some of the fabrics being used are not being used for use they were created, but create unusual products, that feel, sound and look great. So we have put together a page detailing each of the fabrics we use as a regular ranges and how to care for these – we hope it helps, but should you have any questions please feel free to email us prior to purchase.

Nylon Satin (Polyamide) BEING DISCONTINUED LATER THIS YEAR 2023
Nylon Satin also a version of polyamide is a strong woven durable fabric with a sheen to the face side which has a weight of 4oz per square meter of fabric. Nylon Satin was very popular in the 70s & 80s for sportswear, trousers and jackets and is still very popular due to the sheen, feel and its ease of care.
Your Nylon Satin garment can be machine washed to a maximum of 40-degrees however we recommend a 30-degree wool wash with short spin. You can also gently hand wash your item, rinse thoroughly and then drip dry on the washing line. We recommend you wash the item in a gentle detergent suitable for coloured fabrics, this will help to protect its sheen. You can tumble dry the garment, but you MUST use a cool program and should you wish to iron (which should not be necessary) you can do so with a cool iron on the reverse side ONLY using a cloth between the iron and the garment.

PVC (Polyester Backed PVC)
PVC (PVC-PU Faced Polyester) is a multi-functional fabric, which is generally used for underwear, leisurewear, fetish-wear, tops, jackets & dance-wear items as it is glossy or simulates Leather (dependent on finish). It is also fun and has a small amount of stretch. It is a medium weight fabric, but quite durable if treated with care.
Your PVC (PVC-PU Faced Polyester) can ONLY be hand washed. You can gently hand wash your item at 20-degrees, rinse thoroughly using cold water (DO NOT WRING or SPIN) and then drip dry on the washing line or over the tub. We recommend you wash the item in a gentle detergent suitable for coloured fabrics. You should not tumble dry this garment as this will cause the garment to lose its lustre & this item should NOT be ironed at any cost as it will ruin the fabric. You can just wipe down the exterior of your product with a damp cloth and add to its shine using silicone spray.
NB: The lustre can reduce over time with repeated washing as the PVC is only a coating in the polyester backing.
